30 August 1887 Modya! Do me a service, go down to the "New Time" offices [1], pay whatever is required to change the address, and have them sent here forthwith. I've arrived safely. I'm immeasurably happy, despite the fact that Simon [2] has already visited me. Forgive me for having treated you rather angrily yesterday, — but it's always disagreeable when you appear to be concealing something from me, and I'd imagined you'd deceived me about Kamenka, whereas Zasyadko [3] knew the truth. See you soon. I won't write much. Kisses, hugs. P. Tchaikovsky |
