22 September Hotel "London" Most respected Isaac Bogdanovich!
In view of the appalling weather is it not better for us to postpone the excursion to Kojori until next Sunday? We are all of the opinion that there is little desire to travel tomorrow. If you have received this letter at home, then please come forthwith to us at the "London". Should this letter not catch you, then may we all express to you our desire to postpone the excursion until the next forthcoming holiday. Please forgive us if you have already made arrangements that are difficult to cancel and therefore our decision is disagreeable to you. If you wish then we could travel all the same, but then all the pleasure will be spoiled. Kindly reply either today or tomorrow morning [1]. Sincerely devoted, P. Tchaikovsky |
