Nikolay Tsyganov

Russian poet and actor (b. 1797 at Saint Petersburg; d. 30 November/12 December 1832 in Moscow), born Nikolay Grigoryevich Tsyganov (Николай Григорьевич Цыганов).

Tchaikovsky's Settings of Works by Tsyganov

In 1891 Tchaikovsky set two of his Three Choruses to untitled poems by Tsyganov: Tis Not the Cuckoo in the Damp Pinewood (No. 1) and Without Time, Without Season (No. 3).
