Tchaikovsky's Settings of Works by Prudhomme
Prudhomme's poem Prière (1875), in a Russian translation by Aleksey Pleshcheyev (1825–1893), was set by Tchaikovsky as O, If Only You Knew (О, если б знали вы), No. 3 of the Twelve Romances, Op. 60 (1886).
