20-го мая Все время в Москве мне нездоровилось. Со вчерашнего дня стал принимать хинину. У меня что-то вроде того, что было в Риме: лихорадка с постоянным сосанием под ложечкой. Впрочем, сущие пустяки. Сегодня я уже вполне конвалесцент. Сегодня еду в Нижний, Астрахань, Баку, Тифлис. Прошу тебя, голубчик, на пути заехать к Ипполиту, чтобы его утешить за мой обман. Да я думаю, что тебе приятно будет провести там денёк. Если тебе по причине выезда особенно нужны деньги, то можешь взять у О. И. Юргенсона за июль и август 200 р[ублей]. Я сделаю распоряжение.
