Tell Anna Ivanovna not to worry: I haven't forgotten it's due. If she doesn't mind, I should like to pay just the interest again. We'll put this in order when I return from Kamenka, where I'm going tomorrow morning. I'm stopping in Moscow on the way back specifically for this reason. I'll let you know when I arrive. I'm worn out from the time I spent in Kiev, and in no condition to write anything. The first performance of "The Queen of Spades" was two days ago. The second one is today, for which I had to stay to hear the prima donna alternating with Matsulevich. I kiss you hard. Until we meet, golubushka; I hope you spend the holiday well. | Tell Anna Ivanovna not to worry: I haven't forgotten it's due. If she doesn't mind, I should like to pay just the interest again.
Kiev 21 December 1890 Golubushka Batasha!
Yours P.
