7 апр[еля] 1887 г[ода] с[ело] Майданово Милая, голубушка Баташа! Во 1-х, Христос воскресе! Троекратно целую Вас в щёчки! Беззубку тоже! Во 2-х, простите, что раньше не поздравил. В 3-х, возобновляю просьбу помочь мне! Голубушка! Сделайте это ради Бога! Кроме Вас, никто мне не может это сделать, а самому некогда. Нужно сделать следующее: 1) получить у Юргенсона печатный экземпляр «Чароддейки» и начиная со 2-го действия вписывать все знаки к нему относящиеся. 2) Если найдёте где разногласие, — советуйтесь с Тоничкой, а если уж очень большое недоразумение, обращайтесь ко мне письменно. Впрочем, надеюсь, что особенного ничего не будет. 3) Нужно надписать везде tempo, как в клавираусцуге, и сделать это очень тщательно, т. е. писать не только tеmро, что напечатаны большими буквами, но и всякие маленькие ritеnutо или stringеndо. 4) Нужно выставить цифры страниц карандашом. Вот и все. 5) Впрочем, ещё одно. Над началом каждого нумера нужно, по клавираусцугу, выставить № и обозначение его, т. е. сцена, ариозо, дуэт и т. д. Вот и все. Кашкин Вам расскажет про меня. Он у меня 5 дней гостил. Думаю, что всю будущую неделю останусь ещё в Майданове поработать. Очень соскучился по Вас. Что бы Вам [в] воскресенье ко мне приехать? А? Как Вы думаете? Целую Ваши ручки. Thirdly, I'm renewing my request for help! Golubushka! For God's sake do this! Nobody besides you can do this for me, and I don't have any time myself. I need you to do the following: 1) To obtain a printed copy of "The Enchantress" from Jurgenson and, starting from the 2nd act, write in all the relevant markings. 2) If you find any discrepancies, consult with Tonichka, and if there are any big misunderstandings, contact me in writing. Hopefully there won't be anything in particular, anyway. 3) You need to write in the tempo everywhere from the piano reduction, and to do this very carefully, i.e. not only to write the tempo, printed in large letters, but every little ritenuto or stringendo. 4) You need to add the page numbers in pencil. That's all. 5) However, just one more thing. At the head of each number you need to put in the corresponding number and its designation from the piano reduction, i.e. scene, arioso, duet, etc. That's all. Kashkin will tell you about me.
