Tchaikovsky's Settings of Works by Grekov
- Wait! (Погоди!), No. 2 of the Six Romances, Op. 16 (1872-73), and We Have Not Far to Walk (Не долго нам гулять), No. 2 of the Two Songs (1875), were both settings of untitled poems by Grekov, published in 1860.
- The poem Song (Песня), published in 1860 — a translation from the French of Chanson de Fortunio, from the comedy Le Chandelier (1835) by Alfred de Musset (1810–1857) — was set by Tchaikovsky as No, I Shall Never Tell (Нет, никогда не назову), No. 1 of the Six Romances, Op. 28 (1875).
- The poem Stanzas (Стансы), published in 1866, was set by Tchaikovsky as Look, Yonder Cloud (Смотри: вон облако), No. 2 of the Six Romances and Songs, Op. 27 (1875).
