  1. This telegram is in reply to a letter from Adolph Brodsky which has not survived. At the tenth Russian Musical Society concert in Saint Petersburg that evening, Adolph Brodsky was performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto, with Anton Rubinstein conducting.
