I've received your letter. The package should be sent tomorrow or the day after and I'll collect it from the directorate. It will probably be on Friday. If there's any delay I'll telegraph. Merci for the 100 ruble fee for the suite. For some reason you write svita ; on the title page you need to put suite. I'm sure that Kashkin, Taneyev, Hubert, Rubinstein etc. will agree with my opinion that svita is inappropriate and it needs to be suite. | I've received your letter. |
21 October I've received your letter. The package should be sent tomorrow or the day after and I'll collect it from the directorate. It will probably be on Friday. If there's any delay, I'll telegraph. Merci for the 100 ruble fee for the suite. For some reason you write svita [1]; on the title page you need to put suite. I'm sure that Kashkin, Taneyev, Hubert, Rubinstein etc. will agree with my opinion that svita is inappropriate and it needs to be suite. Until we meet, my dear fellow. Yours, P. Tchaikovsky I think that everything possible needs to be done in order that "The Maid" makes it to Nápravník without delay. |
Notes and References
- ↑ Tchaikovsky is referring to the Russian form svita (свита), rather than his preferred form of syuita (сюита), both of which translate to English as "Suite".
