Most respected Albert Christianovich!

Forgive me, for God's sake! I'm awfully guilty before you for not having fulfilled my promise until today. Illness, a journey to Petersburg, travelling to Taganrog and Tiflis — all this consumed me to such an extent that it's already a month after our meeting that I remembered Mr Bogdanov's flattering invitation to include my manuscript among his autographs.

Anatoly and Parasha bow earnestly to you. They and their daughter are completely healthy, praise God.

Your sincerely devoted,

P. Tchaikovsky

Manfred symphony, 1st movement [1].

Notes and References

  1. The whereabouts of this autograph extract from the 1st movement of Tchaikovsky's Manfred symphony, and the identity of the collector Mr Bogdanov, are both unknown.
