30 August My dear Aunt Liza!
I am writing you these few lines to tell you that I share in your profound sorrow [1]. You know that I loved our Kolya very, very much; his blessed memory shall never be erased from my memory. If there is anything that I can do to comfort you, then know that, besides Kolya, you still have many people who love you wholeheartedly. I am also amongst their number; be assured that I should be glad if I can be at least of some use to you. I hug you warmly, kiss your hands, and I remain your affectionate, P. Tchaikovsky I kiss you all. |
