German double-bass player with the Imperial Opera in Saint Petersburg (b. 12/24 July 1854 in Lauterberg), known in Russia as Albert Karlovich Kleyneke (Альберт Карлович Клейнеке).

Kleinecke was also a music editor and arranger at Jurgenson's publishing house in Moscow during the latter years of the nineteenth century, where his duties included copy preparation and proofreading. He was responsible for all the Moscow editions of Tchaikovsky's compositions, and also arranged many of Tchaikovsky's works for various combinations of instruments.
