Albert Kleinecke

German double bass player with the Imperial Opera in Saint Petersburg ((b. 12/24 July 1854 in Lauterberg), known in Russia as Albert Karlovich Kleyneke (Альберт Карлович Клейнеке).

Kleinecke was also a music editor and arranger at Jurgenson's publishing house in Moscow during the latter years of the nineteenth century, where his duties included copy preparation and proof-reading. He was responsible for all the Moscow editions of Tchaikovsky's compositions, and also arranged several of Tchaikovsky's works for various combinations of instruments.
