Nephew of the composer (b. 8/20 August 1870 at Kamenka; d. 1929), born Dmitry Lvovich Davydov (Дмитрий Львович Давыдов).

Dmitry was the eldest son of the composer's sister Aleksandra (b. Tchaikovskaya, 1842–1891) and her husband Lev Davydov (1837–1896).

He married Natalya Mikhaylovna Gudim-Levkovich (1875–1933) and they had four children: Denis; Lyudmila; Vasily; and Kirill.
