Among sketches for the sextet Souvenir de Florence made in December 1891 and January 1892, Tchaikovsky noted a four-part melody in E minor (18 bars, with 4 struck out), apparently for mixed chorus. In the last few bars the soprano part is set to the words ‘Do not wake my friend'. No further information concerning this sketch has come to light.
