English poet (b. 25 September 1793 in Liverpool; d. 16 May 1835 in Dublin), born Felicia Dorothea Hemans.

Tchaikovsky's Settings of Works by Hemans

Hemans' poem Mother! Oh Sing me to Rest (1830), in a Russian translation by Aleksey Pleshcheyev (1825–1893), was set by Tchaikovsky as O, Sing That Song (О, спой же ту песню), No. 4 of the Six Romances, Op. 16 (1872-73).
