Dear Serezha!
The plans for the concert are going well . Colonne has replied to me and given his full consent, and most kindly, too . With regard to the organization of the practical aspects of the concert, he recommends me to get in touch with a certain Mr Giacomelli — I have already written to him and am awaiting his reply .

Now here's what. Would it be seen as madness on my part if I were to ask Viardot, through Turgenev, to take part in my concert? After all, she has performed my songs, hasn't she? If it's a crazy idea, then just throw away the enclosed letter. But if not, then please call on Turgenev and hand him this letter .
As soon as I receive a reply from Giacomelli I shall write to you in detail.
