10 мая Каменка К тебе, душа моя, должен зайти Михаила с моей запиской, по которой попрошу тебя выдать ему 50 р[ублей]. Деньги эти посылает ему брат его по его просьбе, но так как отсюда в Смелу, т. е. в почтовую контору, с денежными письмами посылают только раз в пятницу, до которой ещё неделя, то ради спешности приходится обратиться день[гами]. Эти 50 рублей я вышло тебе на будущей неделе. Извини за беспокойство. Корректуру 1-го акта я кончил и не знаю высылать тебе сейчас или же дождаться 2-го акта? «Итальянскую фантазию» я решился переложить в 4 руки сам, ибо если отдать Танееву, то придётся переписывать партитуру, а затем Сергей Иванович будет откладывать и дело затянется, а между тем я непременно желал бы; чтобы в течение будущего сезона эта фантазия уже исполнялась. Я посвящаю эту фантазию Карлу Юльевичу Давыдову, а оперу Эдуарду Францовичу Направнику. Прими это в соображение. До свидания. Некогда писать. Твой П. Чайковский |
10 May Kamenka Mikhail ought to be calling on you, my dear chap, with a note from me, in exchange for which I ask you to give him 50 rubles. His brother is sending him this money at his request, but since from here to Smela, i.e. to the post office, money orders are only sent once on a Friday, which is still a week away, then for speed's sake I've had to turn to you for the money. I'll send you these 50 rubles next week. Sorry for the inconvenience. I've finished the proofs of the 1st act, and I don't know whether to send it to you now or wait for the 2nd act? I've decided to arrange the "Italian Fantasia" for 4 hands myself, because if you give it to Taneyev then you'll need to have the score copied out, and then Sergey Ivanovich will procrastinate, and the matter would drag on, but I would rather do this anyway, so that the fantasia will be performed next season.
