Address your story (if you are insuring it) not directly to [[Kamenka]], but ''to the township of Smela (Fastov line, Bobrinsky station)''. I am looking forward to it. I am not writing anything, because the post is going off now and I do not have time, but regarding the question of entering the stage, I shall say that I cannot say anything either ''for'' or ''against'' this, because I do not know and cannot know whether you have a gift for this. I am afraid lest this preoccupation has as little basis as your musical one. I should not want you to experience disappointment again. Anyway, do absolutely as you please, just do not bury in the ground that literary talent, about which I have no doubt.

Kamenka
6 May

Address your story (if you are insuring it) not directly to Kamenka, but to the township of Smela (Fastov line, Bobrinsky station). I am looking forward to it. I am not writing anything, because the post is going off now and I do not have time, but regarding the question of entering the stage, I shall say that I cannot say anything either for or against this, because I do not know and cannot know whether you have a gift for this. I am afraid lest this preoccupation has as little basis as your musical one. I should not want you to experience disappointment again. Anyway, do absolutely as you please, just do not bury in the ground that literary talent, about which I have no doubt.

Yours, P. Tchaikovsky
