Счастлив тот, кто дожил до чести, которую Вы мне делаете, признавая мою подпись желательным для собирателя автографов. I am happy to have been afforded the honour of seeing the day when my signature is sought by autograph collectors.

Notes and References

  1. Written in rough on the back of a letter from Vasily Sidorov dated 10/22 March 1887, which contained a request for Tchaikovsky's autograph. The whereabouts of the completed letter and the autograph are unknown.
