Servant to Tchaikovsky's brother Modest (d.1900), born Nazar Firsovich Litrov (Назар Фирсович Литров).

Nazar travelled to Florence with Tchaikovsky at the beginning of 1890, while the composer's own servant Aleksey Sofronov remained at home to care for his seriously-ill wife. Nazar kept a diary of his experiences in which he recorded his conversations and observations with Tchaikovsky, as well as his impressions of Florence [1].
