Russian clarinettist and arranger (d. 1895); born Vladimir Yakovlevich Frolov (Владимир Яковлевич Фролов).

After graduating from K. Zimmerman's clarinet classes at the Moscow Conservatory in 1876, Frolov joined the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. He made arrangements of Tchaikovsky's piano Romance, Op. 5 for military band and small symphony orchestra, which were published by Jurgenson in 1895 and 1896.
