Vorozhba (Ворожба) is a town and important railway junction in the Bilopillya district (Білопільський район) of Sumy oblast (Сумська область) in Ukraine.

During Tchaikovsky's lifetime it formed part of the Sumy district (Сумский уезд) in the Kharkov province (Харьковский губерния) of the Russian Empire.

Tchaikovsky in Vorozhba

Tchaikovsky stayed at Vorozhba on the night of 17/29 July–18/29 July 1872 after he lost his wallet, and was unable to afford the rail fare from Nizy to Usovo. He managed to continue his journey once the wallet was found.
