Gracious friend and benefactor!

In the first half of August, Donaurov will be passing through Moscow. Kindly send him 75 silver rubles on my account, which I will repay to you immediately on my arrival in Moscow. I'm leaving today for Shilovsky's in Tambov province, where I hope to find a letter from you. I'll come from there with the money, because I intend to secure a hefty loan.

Goodbye and thank you in advance.
