I'm extremely happy that "The Queen of Spades" is being staged in Prague. It would give me enormous pleasure to attend rehearsals and the first performance , but whether I will be well enough to conduct myself, I still do not know. It would be more convenient for me if the opera were to be staged in the 2nd half of January or at the start of February.
I should be enormously delighted to visit Prague during the Mozart cycle, but at the moment various circumstances are pinning me down to Moscow and Petersburg. No cuts whatever. |
