Tolya! Rubinstein has arranged something extremely good for you; today I'm submitting a reference for you, in the hope that you'll be employed in Moscow and live with me. But for this it's essential that you come here immediately, i.e. as soon as you can; I believe the formalities will be around the 12th; just try to get here; we'll arrange everything for you. Write at once about how matters stand with Korobin. Don't worry that you may have already decided something with him; it won't be any hindrance at all. Korobin is a great friend of Rubinstein, my good friend and a relative of Bibikov, therefore he won't hinder us. If only you knew how exultant I am at the thought that we'll be living together.

I should warn you that I'm only staying in Moscow until the 20th; I'm leaving for Petersburg that day. Write forthwith about all this, and rest assured; we'll do whatever is required here.

I've received a letter from Modya, but I haven't had time to reply to him, and besides we'll be seeing each other soon.

Kiss Papasha and Lizaveta Mikhaylovna.

To make sure the letter reaches here the same day, go to the railway station and put it in the box there.
