15 January 1886

I have just returned from Petersburg, and will be remaining here, due to the need to finish urgent proofreading and other work [1], which will take at least a week and a half. I will let you know when I will be in Moscow, and we will discuss your affairs.

Meanwhile, until we meet.

Yours P. Tchaikovsky

Regards to Kondratyev and Emma.

Notes and References

  1. Tchaikovsky was correcting the proof of his Manfred symphony, and was composing incidental music for a scene in Aleksandr Ostrovsky's play The Voyevoda.
