19 сент[ября 18]87 Дорогой друг Эдуард Францович!
Я сейчас высылаю Вам клавираусцуг «Чародейки» со всеми переделками и купюрами, которые я сделал. Некоторые из них я оставляю навсегда, другие предоставляются произволу. В 4-ом акте первая купюра сделана иначе, чем мы тогда решили. Не сердитесь, что придётся чуточку переучить, но перейти прямо от аккорда  я решительно не могу. Остальными купюрами Вы, я думаю, останетесь довольны. Что касается дуэта Кудьмы с Княгиней, то, ради Бога, позвольте его оставить. Взамен его я сделал дальше большие купюры. Я еду в понедельник в Москву по некоторым делам и там буду ожидать уведомления, когда прикажете мне быть в Петербурге. В партитуре все перемены сделаны тоже, и я привезу её с собой. Обнимаю Вас, П. Чайковский Простите, голубчик, что беспокою Вас посылкой. Адресую в театр, дабы Вы мог ли послать капельдинера. Я передумал и посылаю клавираусцуг на имя О[сипа] Иван[овича] Юргенсона с просьбой немедленно Вам в руки доставить. |
19 September 1887 Good friend Eduard Frantsovich!
I've just sent you the piano reduction of "The Enchantress" with all the alterations and cuts that I've made. Some of them are permanent, others are a matter of preference. In the 4th act the first cut is different from what we had decided. Don't be angry that I've tweaked this a little bit, but I absolutely cannot go straight between these two chords I think you'll be satisfied with the remaining cuts. As for the duet of Kudma with the Princess, then, for God's sake let it stay. I've compensated for it by making further large cuts. I'm going on Monday to Moscow on various matters, and will wait to hear from you there when you want me to be in Petersburg. I've made all the changes in the full score as well, and I will bring it with me. I embrace you, P. Tchaikovsky Forgive me, golubchik, for inconveniencing you with a parcel. I've addressed it to the theatre, in order that you someone might drop it off. I've changed my mind and sent the piano reduction to Osip Ivanovich Jurgenson with instructions to deliver it to you immediately. |
