Мне очень неудобно было побывать у Вас около 4 часов. Пожалуйста, пришлите словечко ответа на следующий вопрос: Едете ли Вы сегодня вечером в концерт? Нужно ли заезжать за Вами? Мне необходимо это знать сейчас же, ибо если Вы решительно не поедете, то я распоряжусь иначе. Я очень советую Вам ехать, и будем сидеть рядом. Если же Вы моего совета не послушаете, то я побываю у Вас завтра. Напишите, голубушка, в каком часу удобнее чтобы я приехал? Целую Ваши ручки. Ваш П. Чайковский |

It would be most awkward for me to see you around 4 o'clock. Please, send a word of reply to the following question: Are you going to the concert this evening? Ought I to call for you? I need to know this right away, because if you are definitely not going, then I shall make other arrangements. I strongly advise you to go, and we shall sit together [1].
