Je Vous remercie des bonnes nouvelles que Vous me donnez et suis fier de l'attention que Vous voulez bien témoigner a mes oeuvres.

Je Vous ai chaudement recommandé a Mr. Safonoff du quel dépend le choix des artistes pour la saison prochaine à Moscou.

Pardon d'avoir tant tardé à Vous repondre. J'etais absent et n'ai reçu Votre lettre qu'il y a quelques jours.

Recevez l'expression de mes meilleurs sentiments.

Dear Mr Lamond!

I thank you for the good news you have given me [1], and I am proud of the attention that you have drawn to my works.

I have warmly recommended you to Mr Safonov [2], who will determine the choice of artists for the next season in Moscow.

Forgive me for having taken so long to reply to you. I have been away and did not receive your letter until a few days ago.
