Valse in E major

Nothing is known about the origins of this sketch, which appears to have been intended for a piano piece (TH 228 ; ČW 476). It occurs in Tchaikovsky's Notebook for 1887-88, and comprises a melody in E major (16 bars) entitled "Valse", and underneath the date "Aachen. 12 Aug[ust] 1887" [1].
