Yakov Kalishevsky (1856–1923)

Ukrainian baritone, conductor, and choirmaster (b. 8/20 or 9/21 October 1856 in Chigirin; d. 9 November 1923 in Kiev), born Yakov Stepanovich Kalishevsky (Яков Степанович Калишевский).

After serving as choirmaster in the opera houses at Kiev and Kharkov, Kalishevsky became master of the chorus of Saint Sofia's Cathedral in Kiev from 1883 until 1920.
