Also bitte gleich zu schrieben.
12 May 1889 Moscow Highly respected Frau Förster!
The Imperial Directorate of the Moscow opera theatre should be most delighted if you were in Moscow during the winter season (September-April), and could to sing on the city's stage. Is that possible? If so, then what fee would you require? Are you sufficiently familiar with the Russian language that you could sing everything in Russian? I will be so happy to see and hear you again! This arrangement would all be so beneficial for us and hopefully for you!!! Please send your answer to the aforementioned questions to Moscow, Mr Altani (Moscow, Bolshaya Dmitrovka, Imperial Theatre Directorate)! Altani is the most proficient local conductor, and everyone depends on him! I greet you cordially, kiss your hand, and please send greetings to Herr Förster! And please, write at once. It will be so wonderful if you were to make your Tatyana debut here! I am sure that it would be a colossal success!! P. Tchaikovsky P. Čajkovskij |
