20 March 1886 Dear friend Eduard Frantsovich!
I highly recommend to you the bearer of this letter, O. B. Bayts [1], who should like to try out in Petersburg for secondary roles at least. He is a student of the Moscow Conservatory and, in my opinion, is a very fine and useful singer. If anything can be done, please, do so. Your sincerely affectionate and respectful, P. Tchaikovsky |
