Неаполь 21 февр[аля] Душа моя! Хозяии виллы Postiglione оказался грабителем и разбойником. Пришлось переехать, заплативши ему вдвое больше против того, о чем мы сговорились. Теперь мы живём в городе. Здесь теснее, шумнее, но зато мы в порядочной гостинице, где меня будут обирать более деликатно и умеренна... Неаполь вообще город столь же изумительно красивый и чудный, столь отвратительный по людям, населяющим его. Это громадная шайка хищников, которые не стыдятся самым грабительским образам относиться к иностранцам.
