Konstantin Rukavishnikov (1843-1915)

Russian industrialist (b. 1843; d. 1915), born Konstantin Vasilyevich Rukavishnikov (Константин Васильевич Рукавишников).

From 1888 Rukavishnikov was a director of the Moscow branch of the Russian Musical Society (becoming its principal director in 1893), in which capacity he had frequent meetings with Tchaikovsky. From 1893 to 1897 he was the Mayor of Moscow.
