State councillor, Secretary of the Arts Committee at the Moscow Conservatory, and director of the Russian Musical Society (b. 9/21 June 1829 in Kozlov, near Tambov; d. 5/17 April 1890 in Moscow), born Nikolay Prokofievich Sitovsky (Николай Прокофьевич Ситовский).
