Pozzuoli is a city in the Naples (Napoli) province and Campania region of Italy.
During Tchaikovsky's lifetime it was part of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies (Regno delle Due Sicilie), before becoming part of the Kingdom of Italy in 1861.
Tchaikovsky in Pozzuoli
Tchaikovsky briefly visited Pozzuoli on 24 April/6 May 1874 during his tour of Italy [1].
He returned eight years later, staying at the Villa Postiglione from 11/23 February to 20 February/4 March 1882, while visiting the Naples region with his brother Modest and Nikolay Konradi.
