Paris 6, Boulevard Clichy, M[onsieur] Benjamin Godard.

I've just arrived from Kiev, where I went on a little family business, and I found 2 of your letters. Not only do I have nothing against Erdmannsdörfer's markings, but I welcome them, because such a fine and experienced conductor is useful in these cases. At the same time, if there's anything I don't agree with, it can always be reversed during proofreading. I want to do all the proofreading myself; I believe this will be quicker and better. I'll only be entrusting the arrangement to Batalina, which I've already written to her about.

I've received a request from the composer Godard to end him my 1) Suite and 2) "Italian Capriccio". Kindly send both of them immediately and put them on my account. Therefore, to be clear, golubchik, this is the full scores of the Suite (No. 1) and "Italian Capriccio". The address: Paris 6, Boulevard Clichy, Monsieur Benjamin Godard.
