| Пётр Иванович! Мне совершенно необходимо сделать еще одну корректуру финала. Пусть Эрдмансдёрфер сделает 2-ую корректуру, а я 3-ю; но при этом мне нужно иметь под рукой первую корректуру с моими поправками. Очень прошу тебя велеть сохранить эту первую корректуру и прислать мне её вместе с 3-ей приблизительно через неделю.

Pyotr Ivanovich! It is absolutely essential to do another proof of the finale [1]. Let Erdmannsdörfer do the 2nd proofs, and I the 3rd; but for this I need to have to hand the first proofs with my corrections. I beg you to tell me that you've kept the first proofs, and to send them to me together with the 3rd in approximately one week.
