Пишу тебе наскоро эти строки, чтобы попросить тебя не медля ни минуты выслать сюда партитуру моей симфонии. Она должна быть исполнена на экстренном концерте с вели[им] князем. Вечером напишу тебе более подробно.

Most gracious Vasily Vasilyevich!

I'm writing these lines to you in haste, in order to ask you for not a moment's delay in sending the score of my symphony here [1]. It must be performed at a special concert with the Grand Duke [2]. I'll write to you with more details in the evening.
