Most respected Iosif Ivanovich!

Three journals I have subscribed to will be delivered to you [1].

Please kindly forward them to me here at the above-mentioned address [2].

I am, praise God, healthy and working very diligently.

P. Tchaikovsky

Regards to you all.

Notes and References

  1. Only two of the journals have been identified: the European Herald (Вестник Европы) and Russian Archive (Русский архив). No journals from 1890 survive in Tchaikovsky's library.
  2. The letter was written on headed notepaper from the hotel where the composer was staying: "Italia, Firenze, Hôtel Washington".
