Вчера вечером я кончил черновые эскизы своего нового балета! Эта работа очень утомила меня (старик начинает, кажется, выдыхаться), и так как я имею, кроме того, и маленькое дело в Питере, то и решился вместо Москвы, куда я собирался, чтобы удрать от празднования именин, отправиться на несколько дней в Северную Пальмиру. Возвратившись, тотчас засяду за оперу, а потом дней через десять, так около 12 июля, поеду в Москву и дам Вам о том знать. А пока до свиданья! Целую Ваши ручки. Если Анна Ивановна с Вами, кланяйтесь ей. Ваш, П. Чайковский Я еду послезавтра. |
25 June 1891 Golubushka Batasha!
Yesterday evening I finished the rough sketches of my new ballet![1] This work left me exhausted (it seems the old man is starting to wear out), and since anyway I have a little business in Piter, then I decided that instead of going to Moscow, as I had intended, to escape my name-day I'll be taking myself off to the Palmyra of the North [2] for a few days. On my return I shall immediately set about the opera [3], and then ten days later, so around 12 July, I'll travel to Moscow, and will let you know [4]. So then, until we meet! I kiss your hands. If Anna Ivanovna [5] is with you, give her my regards. Yours, P. Tchaikovsky I'm going the day after tomorrow. |
