9 марта 1876 г[ода] Москва Многоуважаемый Лев Абрамович! Сегодня я получил повестку от мирового судьи по известному Вам делу о квартире. Припадаю к стопам Вашим и умоляю о защите моих интересов. Мне сегодня невозможно к Вам явиться лично, но завтра я приеду к Вам в такой час, какой Вы, назначите. Я буду в Консерватории от 11 часов до 3-х, и если Вы найдёте удобнее побывать там у меня, то очень буду рад. Словом, я завтра в Вашем распоряжении, где и когда угодно. Прилагаю при сем: 1) повестку; 2) копию с домашнего условия и 3) свидетельство доктора Собкевича. Искренно уважающий Вас, П. Чайковский

9 March 1876 Moscow Most respected Lev Abramovich! Today I received a magistrate's summons in connection with the matter of my apartment, of which you are aware. I fall at your feet and beg you to defend my interests. It is not possible for me to appear before you in person today, but tomorrow I shall come to you whenever and wherever you stipulate. I will be at the Conservatory from 11 o'clock until 3, and am very happy if you find it more convenient to visit me there. In short, tomorrow I am at your disposal, anywhere and at any time. I enclose herewith: 1) the summons, 2) a copy of my tenancy agreement, and 3) testimony from Doctor Sobkevich. Your sincerely respectful, P. Tchaikovsky
