In a letter dated 21 November/3 December 1891, Modest Tchaikovsky passed on a request from the editors of the Imperial Theatres Yearbook (Ежегодника императорских театров) for an autograph extract from the music to the ballet The Sleeping Beauty. This was published on page 141 of the 1890/91 yearbook (printed 1892 in Saint Petersburg, and consisted of two lines from the Panorama (Act II, No. 17). The original autograph is now preserved in the Russian State Historical Archive in Saint Petersburg.
