26 мая 1892 г[ода] г[ород] Клин Милый друг Жулик! Вследствие особых неожиданных обстоятельств, я в Москву больше не поеду и должен спешить в Петербург. Еду завтра и останусь до 2-го июня или, может быть, до 3-его. Мне очень грустно, что я Вас так мало видел и что Вы не побывали у меня. Вы говорили, что будете в Петербурге. Не случится ли это теперь до моего выезда за границу? В таком случае знайте, что мой адрес — 24, Фонтанка. Если теперь не увидимся, то, быть может, свидимся в Америке; во всяком случае, умирать не собираюсь и, следовательно, говорю: до свиданья. При сем крепко обнимаю Вас, мой милый дружок. Ваш П. 26 May 1892 Town of Klin Dear friend Zhulik! Due to certain unexpected circumstances, I shall no longer be going to Moscow, and instead have to dash to Petersburg. I'm going tomorrow and will stay until the 2nd June or, perhaps, the 3rd. I'm very sad to have seen so little of you, and that you haven't visited me. You said that you were going to be in Petersburg. Would that happen to be now, before my departure abroad? In such case here is my address: 24 Fontanka. If we don't see each other now, then perhaps we shall meet again in America; in any case, I don't intend to expire, and therefore I say: until we meet again.
