My dear friend Georgy Eduardovich!

Returning home today from a journey abroad [1], I found a letter here from Zhulinka [2], probably written a long time ago, but while I was away in any case. Where is he? I need to see him. Please let me know whether he is still in Moscow. I'll be there in a few days and will arrange to meet him, or depending on the circumstances, ask him to visit me at Klin [3].

I look forward to your reply.

I shake your hand.

P. Tchaikovsky
