Возвращаю при сем два присланных Вами корректурных листочка, в коих ничего требующего исправления не нашёл. Бесконечно радуюсь, что по мере сил и уменья могу сослужить свою маленькую службу такому большому и серьёзному делу, как Академический словарь. Считаю небесполезным довести до Вашего сведения, что я намерен пробыть в Петербурге более месяца, а потому корректуры, если таковые будут, попрошу присылать мне в гостиницу (Гранд-отель). I am returning herewith your two sheets of proofs, in which I found nothing requiring alteration. I am infinitely glad to be able to do my utmost in rendering a minor service to such a grand and serious enterprise as the Academic Dictionary [1]. I consider it useful to bring your attention to the fact that I intend to stay in Petersburg for over a month, and therefore I should ask that any proofs be sent to me at the hotel (Grand Hôtel). - ↑ The Dictionary of the Russian Language (Словарь русского языка) began to be compiled in 1891 under the editorship of Yakov Grot. Tchaikovsky had been asked by the Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich to review some of the musical entries in the first few volumes.
