Михайловское 12 сент[ября] Спасибо за очень интересное известие о квартире. Ну, Модя, что за прелесть это Михайловское!!! Невозможно описать, до чего здесь хорошо; я тем более восхищён, что никто из них в письмах особенно не восхищался, и я никак не ожидал попасть в подобие рая! Семья Грузинских очень симпатична. Паня пополнела, Тата выросла, Эмма веселее, чем я ожидал, Анатолий в духе, ибо очень утешен звездой, — одним словом, все чрезвычайно выходит удачно и приятно. В довершение всего эта удивительная, божественная погода! Я весь день брожу по лесам и грибов приношу немало. В пятницу утром приеду в Москву. Приходи ко мне завтракать. Если Боб останется тоже в «Слав[янском] базаре», конечно, приведи его. Пожалуйста, ложу удержи мне и даже, если можно, две ложи. Обнимаю. П. Чайковский |
Mikhaylovskoye 12 September Thank you for the interesting news about the apartment [1]. Well, Modya, what a delight Mikhaylovskoye is!!! It's impossible to describe how good it is here; I'm even more delighted that their letters mentioned nothing especially remarkable about it, and I had never expected to end up in some sort of paradise! The Gruzinsky family [2] are very nice. Panya is tubbier, Tata has grown, Emma is more fun than I expected, Anatoly is in good spirits because his star is rising — in short, everything is going extremely well and pleasantly! I spend all day roaming around the forest and collecting plenty of mushrooms. On Friday morning I'll be coming to Moscow. Come to me for lunch. If Bob is still at the "Slavyansky Bazaar" [3] then bring him of course. Please reserve a box for me, and maybe even two boxes [4]. I hug you. P. Tchaikovsky |
